Terrence L. Tarver, Esq. of Counsel practices all types of plaintiffs’ personal injury litigation, including general negligence, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence, and products liability. Mr. Tarver handles all facets of these cases from inception through trial and through the years, he has obtained millions of dollars in results for his clients, including recent settlements of $300,000.00, $500,000.00, and $787,500.00 and recent verdicts of $600,000.00 and $4,000,000.00, some of which were featured in the New York Law Journal and Verdict Search.
He has been published in the Nassau Lawyer, the NYSBA TICL Section Journal, and the NYSBA State Bar News and regularly publishes law-related posts on LinkedIn. Additionally, he is a former Secretary and a current Vice President of the Hofstra Law School Alumni Association and is a member of the Theodore Roosevelt American Inns of Court.
Mr. Tarver has primarily volunteered through the Nassau County Courthouse Kiwanis, where he served as Secretary for the last seven years, receiving the Secretary Award in 2011-2012, 2014-2015, and 2015-2016 before stepping down in 2017. As a Kiwanian, he has helped kids, including sending them to Kamp Kiwanis and volunteering at soup kitchens. Further, he helped plan and support their annual Comedy Night, the proceeds of which typically helped benefit a Court employee in need as well as Annual Kathy Donegan Breast Cancer Fundraiser, which benefited The Adelphi New York Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline. Other efforts have included their annual Plant Sale and annual scholarship program.
Mr. Tarver graduated from Hofstra Law School with a Civil Litigation Concentration and was on Moot Court and the National Trial Team. He completed his undergraduate education at Tulane University with a double major in Legal Studies and Finance. Mr. Tarver attended Tulane on a Division I football scholarship, was a four-year letterman, helped Tulane win the Hawaii Bowl, and was named a Captain of the team his Senior Year.
